Free Webinar: How to Develop, Deploy, Manage and Update Secure IoT and Edge Devices
Variscite and Foundries.io have partnered to simplify the development, deployment and management of secure IoT and Edge products using Variscite's market-leading System on Modules (SoMs) based on NXP Semiconductors' i.MX processors. In this webinar Variscite and Foundries.io will introduce and demonstrate the complete end-to-end product lifecycle capabilities available to OEMs developing embedded devices using a Variscite VAR-SOM-MX8M-MINI SoM with the FoundriesFactory software platform.
FoundriesFactory® / Linux microPlatform™ Release 85
FoundriesFactory / Linux microPlatform release 85 went live last week, delivering the latest NXP Semiconductors and Xilinx BSPs, while extending our boot firmware update feature to support additional targets. (Boot firmware updates are critical to avoid having to re-flash the device when delivering images based on a newer BSP.) There are also major updates to our documentation, with more security content.
Foundries.io mentioned during NXP's 2021 Investor Day
On November 11, in New York, Ron Martino, NXP's Executive Vice President and General Manager, Edge Processing, said, "... and then from a device management point of view, all these billions of devices, putting them out there, decommissioning them when they are done, using our history in MIFARE with our EdgeLock2Go® capability to provision devices and working with partners like Foundries.io in order to enable that management of all these devices."
